This past Saturday, Michael and I got away to Cocoa Beach for the day. The first stop was a place named American Ingenuity that specializes in geodesic dome structures. It's a really cool concept, where you can order the parts and the plans to build your own dome house! It's sorta like a big Lego kit. I've always been fascinated by a home of the future and this is certainly it. Besides the fact that it can save you 50 to 70% on heating/cooling costs, a dome structure is also virtually impervious to strong weather (as long as you shutter the windows.) If the recent past is any indication, I'd say the home of the future should be equipped to handle anything the earth can throw at it.

I created this blog namely as a way to post my movie reviews without worrying about Flixster deleting them. No matter what, you really can't trust saving your writings, images, videos, and memories on a commercial website. Social media has become all about now. Meanwhile, they delete your older posts assuming you'll never look to notice them missing.

I've kept a journal on my computer before, but then the hard drive crashed and I lost it all. I do still have journals I had written on paper from years ago, but who writes on paper anymore? And my most recent blog was on MySpace... In other words I have no blog.

So here is my blog.

In addition to current movie reviews, it might be nice to talk about some other things I enjoy: Second Life, Theme Parks, and Science-y stuffs. I look forward to writing in slightly longer than 140 character increments. Hopefully I still know how to.

All posts prior to this one are reviews copied from my old Flixster page. Most of them are short, with the exception of the Avatar review. It's been fun keeping a record of what I saw in theaters and I would suggest it for anyone.
